Caddle (Phillip Hyde, Lead Vocals , Drew Akin, Guitar & Vocals. Eric Watters, Guitar & Vocals , Chris Pottratz, Bass Finney James, Drums & Vocals) are a little Skynyrd. A little Replacements. Haling from Birmingham, Alabama, Caddle’s country roots are tightly woven with melodic punk to pack a powerful punch. Take a listen to this Twang Nation favorite.

MySpace Showcase Tuesday 12/19 – Loomer
Toronto sextet Loomer is Scott Loomer’s vehicle for delivering heartache and hope. Sounding like a more refined but gloomier Lucero or a more focused (and less precious) Ryan Adams they drive their great songs like a old Ford truck.

MySpace Showcase Tuesday 12/12 – Sixgun Republic
The sounds of fury, dust and passion fly from New York’s punk-roots band Sixgun Republic. A rockabilly soul and a country heart defines the sound of this bad-ass band. Check ’em out.
MySpace Showcase Tuesday 12/5 – Cadillac Sky
Well, Thanksgivings over and I’m out of excuses for not posting a new My Space Showcase…so here goes, and I’ve got a nice treat for all you bluegrass fans. I’m breaking the rules somewhat because these boys already have a record deal, but they’re my rules to break, and I can’t keep them under my Stetson.
Ft. Worth Based progressive Bluegrass phenomenon Cadillac Sky is the most recent signing to Skaggs Family Records. I allways thought that bluegrass is prog-hillbilly music and Cadillac Sky just reaffirms my brilliant (you heard me!) hypothesis.
Cadillac Sky is made up of two national champion pickers, a respected guitar veteran, an upright bass prodigy and an award winning songwriter and have built a reputation as an amazing live band – leaving fans, as well as fellow musicians clamoring for more at every performance. Cadillac Sky will make their first big splash onto the progressive Bluegrass scene when their debut Skaggs Family full-length “Blind Man Walking” lands in stores on January 23, 2007.

MySpace Showcase Tuesday (Catching Up)
I’m about two weeks behind in the MySpace Showcase feature, yes I know..BAD BAD BAD BLOG MASTER…
but don’t worry your Stetson’s buckaroos I’ve got a couple of treats in store.
First up is O.C. California’s gritty chugg-chuggin “Ditch Diggers” on Sheephucker Records. Now
these songs do sound a bit alike and one is about a pig call, but that ain’t necessarily a bad thing as drunk crackers have trouble with changing up rhythm, and as everyone knows, we do love our swine.
And speaking of white folks, the next band up are homeboys from Austin Texas “Honky.” These boys
cook with Southern rock as hot as Lynard Skynard’s downed plane. A little ZZ Top, a dash of Sabbath, and bottle of something serious.
MySpace Showcase Tuesday
Muleskinner Jones, from Bath/Wiltshire, United Kingdom is deeply, deeply disturbed.
Mssr. Jones sound lies somwhere between a lonesome AM station tuned in on a long stretch of highway and a drunken hoedown of the damned. Tasty brew!
Check out Muleskinner Jones. IF YOU DARE!
MySpace Showcase Tuesday 10/3
Yeah, this episode of MySpace Showcase is a little late in coming…JEEEEZ…what do you want from me….nag nag nag!!!
Ths weeks band is straight from San Diego California. The Screamin Yeehaws! A steaming bowl of “HonkyTonkPunkRawk” ready to sear your ears. Gives these fine boys a hand, ya hear?
MySpace Showcase Tuesday – The Snakehandlers
Yeah It’s a little early for the MySpace Showcase but I’m busy traveling tomorrow so just deal. This weeks showcase is the Snakehandlers. The self procalimed “World’s Loudest Country Band” and judging by the clips on their Mypace page I’m inclined to believe them. Powerful, tight playing, great vocals and a killer cover version of the The Jim Carroll Band’s “People That Died.” Twang Nation says check these bad boys out!
